This scheme is GBA’s largest project to date. GBA has designed all buildings on the large multi-use leisure development which include 4 luxury lodge types, 3 economy lodge types, a restaurant, a spa, a small leisure centre, a shop/reception, a maintenance building and further ancillary buildings.

    The development will provide 84 luxury lakeside lodges to the North West of the site which will be a mixture of the four types located around a man-made lake. This area will also contain the restaurant, spa and reception/shop. The existing arena building to the North East of the site will be developed and will expand its current use as an events venue. The arena will also be extended to the West to create a leisure centre which will serve not only the leisure site, but Pickering and the surrounding area. This facility will have a swimming pool, gym, cycle rental centre, children’s play area, bar & restaurant and offices.

    The Southern area of the site will be populated with a mixture of the Economy lodges to the South West - 60 in total - and 94 luxury glamping pods to the South East.

We have worked closely with numerous external consultants on this scheme to deliver a high quality, sustainable and cost effective development which will bring tourism to the town of Pickering and also offer its inhabitants further amenity.
